Working Drawing
This collection box was made as a memorial to a well loved member of the staff of Bromley Hospital. He was a very hard working man and always at his computer which gave me the idea of 'Working Lunch'.
As he is eating his lunch he lifts up a large cake with 'Thanks' written on the side. The cake seems to appear from nowhere.
I used an old magic trick to achieve this. A mirror is placed diagonally between the legs of the table. It reflects the front table leg so that it appears to be the back leg (which is hidden by the mirror). It also reflects the floor and walls giving the impression of a normal table. The cake is hidden behind the mirror and rises up through a hole in the table.
