Theatre Dog

I have been commissioned by the playwright Howard Barker to make three life size mechanical dogs for a forthcoming stage production. At the end of the play all three dogs will have there throats cut and I will try to simulate the blood using black ribbon (Mr Barker likes his blood black). The ribbon will be wound around a spool and have a small magnet sewn into the protruding end so that when a knife is passed across the dogs throat the magnet will stick to it and the ribbon will be pulled out (see pictures)
