Magic Boat

This automata was commissioned by Marvin's Mechanical Museum in Detroit in 2007. The disappearance and re-appearance of the little boat is archived using mirrored doors. when the doors are closed they reflect the floor and sides of the cabinet in such a way as to make it appear empty. when the doors are open the boat is reviled.
